"" I learned not only about golf, but about life itself""
Linda Edwards, where do I start? We have made so many wonderful memories together, memories that I will never forget. Linda was my very first golf instructor, and my most favorite. Favorite because, not only did she help me on a professional level, but she also became one of my closest family friends and still is to this day three years later. I learned not only about golf, but about life itself. She helped me score over twenty shots lower from the first day I started working with her to the last, (in less than two years) and I couldn't have asked for better instruction. She is a tremendous athlete and someone I have and will always look up to for the rest of my life. On top of focusing on the physical aspect of the game of golf, Linda also made it a priority to work on the mental portion. Out of the many coaches I've been with since then, I have found that none of them pursued that topic quite like she did for me. Linda gave me mental training techniques to perform on and off the golf course. This included reading her valuable emails which informed me on what I needed to work on when I wasn't with her. It also included writing out my thoughts about certain things concerning golf and giving it to her every week. I didn't quite think of it too much when I was 12, but now looking back I realize that the mental aspect of the game is just as important, if not more, than the physical aspect. I couldn't have figured this out without the lovely assistance from Coach Edwards. Linda has helped me build my foundation in golf and in life, and that foundation is a great one. Thank you so much Linda.
